The Time You Were Born
The time we are born plays a big part in analysing your chart accurately.
It determines your rising sign/ascendant which will determine the house (area of life) each of the luminaries and planets are placed and which of them will have the most impact on your life.
An inaccurate time can cause the analysis of your chart can be incomplete.
The time can be wrong for many reasons. Parents can remember the time incorrectly, nurses and midwives can write down an approximate time, the majority of people do not realise the importance of the birth time astrologically so won’t be so concerned about recording it accurately.
The problem is, even a few minutes can make a difference to the analysis of your chart.
I’ll give a personal example. I remember my Mum saying I was born at 8:40pm. So that put my Moon, Mars and North Node (of destiny) in the 1st house. When I heard the first analysis of my chart I felt like I had to BECOME this person rather than it being who I was. Then I found out my actual birthtime from a note written by the hospital when I was born (which I assumed was accurate). This put put my North Node, Moon and Mars in the 12th house. When I read about the meaning of those placements it made SO much sense and I was already that person! The only thing that didn’t feel quite right was the time moved my Sun from the 5th house (which made a lot of sense to me) to the 4th house, which didn’t. Since rectifying my own chart I found the time was out by 16 minutes and, not surprisingly, the correct time put my Sun back into the 5th house!
How Do I Rectify the time?
Once you book I will send you a form to fill out asking for poignant dates in your life (marriage, jobs, qualifications, moving home etc). I need at least 3 official dates if you have a marriage date, if you don’t then I need more dates.
The form will tell you more about what I need.
It is preferable to have an approximate time to work with. For example between 3pm-5pm. This will tell me your ascendant. Or at least give me a couple to work with.
No Idea of Your Birth Time?
If you only have an idea of morning or afternoon or no idea of time because you were adopted, your parents have passed or for any other reason, that is more challenging because I have to use other tools to find your ascendant, though I’m still open to discussing the possibility of rectification with you – email me at janineopheim@gmail.com
